About Signature Beef Project
Signature Beef is a $27.9 million privately owned beef processing plant located 125km north west of Moranbah in Queensland. The facility was completed in late 2021, after 2 years of construction, and it is the first beef processing plant to be built in Queensland in more than 20 years.
The purpose of the Signature Beef plant is to process animals on-farm, with minimal live transport to reduce animal stress. The ‘boutique-scale’ facility is export accredited, will have the capacity to process up to 200 cattle per day and was “…designed to be able to be very bespoke in how it processes”.
This project was a completely new abattoir build, and Allmach was involved from the design stage right through to completion. Allmach supplied over 3,000m of 15mm – 108mm SurePress tube with associated fittings and valves. Pipeline services constructed included cold water, hot water, compressed air and sanitisation lines. The original specification was for an alternative piping system; however the client saw the benefits of using the SurePress piping system as Allmach was able to satisfy the project’s narrow installation window with good product availability and on-time delivery service.
