About 88 Walker Street Tower & Hotel Project
88 Walker Street North Sydney is $153M, 49 storey, mixed-use office and hotel development. It consists of a 252 room, 4-star international hotel as well as 12,000 sqm of commercial space. The project commenced at the beginning of 2021 and is due to be completed at the end of 2022.
Pipe Infrastructure Capabilities
The plumbing contractor is using Surepress stainless steel 316L piping system for all gas, hot & cold-water services, and also for the water meter set-ups at the 88 Walker St build. The installer is utilising a diverse range of Surepress 316L pipe and fittings: from 15mm to 168mm. They chose the system over other systems due to the speed of installation and the ease of being able to fabricate items onsite utilising the press fit feature, which requires no welding or hot work permits.
Challenges and Solutions
The two major issues the installer is facing are tight installation time frames due to multiple lockdowns. In addition, there isn’t much space on site to store materials. Allmach alleviates these issues by delivering Surepress fittings and pipe swiftly, with smaller and more regular deliveries.
